- Through BJJ you learn that respect comes first. You are obviously shown respect as the coach of the gym but in order to receive it you must demonstrate it first and this lesson has served me well with mentors and coaches outside of the gym.

Hobbies
Too make this short and sweet- I took up BJJ at the start of 2018 which was my last year of high school. 6 years later i am a brown belt, coaching at my school, competed and represented my team in MMA and high level BJJ competitions around the world. Through this i learnt the skill of sticking to something that is hard, listening to people more experienced than myself and more importantly, learning how to LEARN. This ability is invaluable and can only be learnt by trial and error and a lot of introspection. I believe this can be applied to almost anything, especially skills that have as much depth as the electrical trade. This sport is by far the one vehicle in my life that has taught me the most through its sink or swim ethics that are ingrained in the hard training and by far has provided the most valuable lessons to me that i take to all ventures in my life.
